Renovated in 2014, the hotel was originally opened in 1956 by the Swedish royal family, and was Ernest Hemingway's Madrid home. You can enjoy spectacular views of the city from the Ático Casa Suecia terrace on the hotel rooftop, and unwind in the fitness room. This popular hotel enjoys an excellent, central location in the tourist centre of Madrid close to the old town and the Prado museum. “Probably one of best boutique hotel I have stayed in. What a terrific find in a great Madrid location, super cool hotel just close to museums, shopping and great neighborhoods. We have visited this hotel three times over the past 2 months and the experience, every time is better than the previous one. Placed in a vibrant neighborhood, two minutes away from Gran Vía and located inside an awesome classy property, it is like an oasis when we come back from our long journeys walking around Madrid. Excellent service, friendly staff that make us feel welcome everytime. Definitely, it will be a sixth time for us. Great job and keep up the good work and service. 110% satisfied!!”

“Fantastic location, very accommodating staff. We had a small room, but super comfortable bed, stylishly decorated, cool bathroom with the BEST walk-in shower EVER (hot, high pressure rain shower head + handheld, and quite spacious). Nice DeLonghi pod espresso maker in the room; you can ask for more coffee pods, milk and bottled water for your coffee. Well priced for Madrid (I paid the same for an OK Airbnb). My only complaint would be the carpet when you walk in the front door is stained and tattered, but that's easily fixed so I am not sure why it's like that. And 24 euros each for breakfast is quite high.Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, couldn't beat the location!”
